About us

Hi, we're Rodney and Charity!

We’re the family behind Toddie, along with our one-year-old twins. We believe childhood should be simple, inspiring, and filled with beauty. Our designs combine Scandinavian minimalism with warmth, creating thoughtful spaces where children can play, explore, and grow.

Toddie began with a simple idea: children grow more confident when we give them the freedom to do things for themselves. Inspired by Montessori principles, our low, accessible shelving and furniture are designed with little ones in mind — giving them the freedom to reach their own books, toys, and belongings without always needing to ask for help.

Originally founded in the Netherlands, Toddie is now proudly making its way to Canada. We’re bringing thoughtful European design, natural materials, and a love for beautifully considered spaces to families across the country. From our handmade wall lamps to our Montessori-inspired shelves and décor, every piece is chosen and crafted with care.

As a family-run business, we believe in building something that lasts — not just furniture, but a company rooted in quality, sustainability, creativity, and opportunity. We want Toddie to be a place where people can do meaningful work, grow their skills, and build a future they’re proud of.

From our family to yours, thank you for welcoming Toddie into your home and joining us as we continue this exciting chapter in Canada.
