Absolutely! Our unfinished wooden products are perfect for repainting! Since they are made from untreated wood, they are very suitable for painting.
What types of paint can you use for children's furniture and lamps?
- Acrylic paint: This type of paint dries quickly and doesn’t have a strong odor. It’s water-based, making it ideal for indoor furniture. Since our furniture and lamps are well-sanded, you can apply the paint directly.
- Satin finish paint: Use a satin finish paint, not high-gloss. High-gloss finishes show every imperfection. Satin is much safer in this regard.
- Wall paint: Do you want your furniture to match the color of the wall in the children's room? You can do that! Just use the leftover paint from painting the wall, as wall paint works well for our furniture and lamps.
- Wood stain is also very nice and suitable for our furniture, and so is oil. These keep the wood grain visible and usually cover well in one coat.
This customer painted our wooden bookshelf with 5 shelves in the same color as the wall. With wall paint, of course! It looks absolutely stunning!
And Karlijn from @het.kleine.droomhuis did a DIY with our raw wooden heart. She treated it with wood glue (adding texture) and then painted it with wall paint.
Use an oil, wash, or stain!
It’s all possible! You can actually apply all kinds of paint to our wooden products because they are made of untreated wood. And just look at the beautiful walnut brown effect this oil created!
